By the people of Wexford, for the people of Wexford
Our 57th production, and our fourth year at the National Opera House, Wexford.
13rd-18th January 2026
In this brand new adventure from Thomas O’Leary, the man who brought us “Peter Pan Flies Again” last year, we are brought the classic, heartwarming tale of ‘Sleeping Beauty’. A classic tale but with a more modern twist.
The Evil Fairy Maleficent puts a spell on the King and Queen’s daughter, Princess Aurora that when she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel, she will die. Thankfully with the assistance of the three good fairies, the spell is altered, that she will only fall into a deep sleep. They then take her into a cottage in the woods to keep her safe until her eighteenth birthday. It is there that she meets and falls in love with the handsome Prince Philip.
Join Aurora and her comedic sidekick Joxer, Prince Philip, along with an array of other characters as they guide us through this new expedition, full of crazy characters, lively songs, side-splitting comedy and oodles of adventure as “Sleeping Beauty” takes to
